Montezuma, GA! July, 2012

Our first stop will be Yoder's Mennenite Resturant for lunch and a visit to the bakery and gift shop. We will then make our way to William L. Brown Farms which features a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, homemade peach ice cream and pick your own flowers.

Helen, GA! September, 2012

Octoberfest in Helen - We will enjoy lunch and shopping on our own before rejoining the group for a wine tasting at Habersham Winery.

Brain Bikes
Fitness for the Brain - the Brain Bike is the first workout program that exercises the body and the brain simultaneously. The unique combination of pedaling the bike and playing brain building games guarantees improved body and brain function. The brain games are fun lasting up to 4 minutes each and are designed to improve memory, concentration, and cognitive function by 20%. The Close Knit Bunch
Join the Close Knit Bunch as they enjoy working on the many service projects they are involved with. Enjoy this time of sharing handwork, chatting, and being involved. Whether you are a novice or a pro-even if you have started projects and never finished them-now is the time to join the Close Knit Bunch!

If your talents call you to knit, crochet, or sew, we hope you will consider donating your time to creating unique caps to give someone hope and support during their cancer treatments.

Fall Risk Assessments
Rehabilitation Services of the Medical Center of Central Georgia, in partnership with Golden Opportunities, is now offering monthly EMPOWER SENIORS Fall Risk Screenings at The Wellness Center. If you or a loved one is concerned about falling, you are encouraged to attend this FREE screening to identify your risk for falling and to receive skilled advice on what paths you should take to decrease that risk and increase your independence!

Are you an avid booklover?
Come join the book club and enjoy a cup of coffee, regularly scheduled guest speakers and reviews of a variety of literary works from best-selling authors. The group meets on the last Friday of each month at Barnes & Noble. We hope to see you there!

Art from the Heart
If you have ever wanted to paint but thought you did not have the talent, these decorative painting classes are for you. One Stroke Painting Technique taught by certified instructors, Mary Parks and Shirley Rainwater will lead you to great creations of art. They have inspired hundreds of people in Central Georgia to let their "creative juices" flow and experience the joy, relaxation, and satisfaction of painting. All supplies are furnished so just bring your smiles with you!

Fee: $35.00 per class
